Camilla was absolutely lovely. Rooms were cosy, clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms, but still some traditional charm. A short walk into town centre, nothing to fault!

The location was fabulous! The walkway along the River Ness was a minute away; there was a lovely park right across the street! There were two excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. And, especially appreciated—off street parking!!! The owner was delightful and very helpful. She helped us get a taxi and provided excellent dining suggestions. The breakfast was first-rate: the best bacon we had on a three week trip!

The shower was very small, but serviceable.

Good location with parking for a few vehicles albeit a very tight space to get there. Host was helpful prior to arrival.

Dated decor but ok. Everything creaks. I mean everything. So loud. Only one key issued for two adults which was problematic when trying to sort out how to get access when one of us had to return back to the guesthouse early. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on standard but I thought £8 per person was expensive.

The hotel is shabby and in need of an upgrade. It is completely overpriced for what is offered. The Garden Room I booked was nothing more than a view of a very badly kept and weed covered postage stamp sized lawn fronting onto a main road, rubbish was left accumulating under a table and a bag of dirty linen was left sitting in the porch during the two nights I was there. No menu was provided for breakfast but a request to be written on a piece of paper and would be provided 'if the choice was available! Shabby paintwork on the stairs suggest considerable attention is required to the upkeep of this property. This hotel was not worth the £315 I paid to stay there. I would give it at the very most a 3 star rating.
