The Bluebell Guest House

Ideal location 2 minute walk from the beach front and 5 minute walk from the town centre. Hosts were really nice and friendly, and property is clearly signposted so easy to find if you’re not familiar with the area

Parking could be tricky but the owners provided parking permits to allow parking directly outside or in the surrounding areas (you just had to park early or late in the day, to avoid the parking rush!)

Staff welcoming. Felt comfortable and safe in my small single room.Very clean, and everything worked fine. Breakfast exactly as requested, fresh and hot.

I stayed for a long weekend - single room was great (might have opted for a double if I’d been staying longer) Breakfast was excellent with good selection for cooked meal, plus cereals, fruit etc.

The hotel is exceptionally clean! The food is very nice, however it could do with being hotter as part of the breakfast was cold on the first day and second. This is a lovely hotel but sadly it isn't for us.

On the second day we went to sit in the dining room at 8.55am for breakfast, only one other couple in and they were just leaving. My husband went for a cig outside, I didn't want to sit in the cold! Lisa, walked in and said " you're very early, I'm not ready for you and walked out" No "Good morning first" ..First time we met her too! Found this very rude, then she walked back and said " your twenty minutes early, you will have to wait while I clear up. We were the only people there at that time and were happy to wait! Just wanted somewhere to sit! Our table was set up ready so we weren't in the way in our eyes Made me feel uncomfortable and want to leave to be honest! Peter served us the day before and we were 10 minutes late, he said " good morning" and engaged in a conversation with us! On returning to our room on the first day, someone had been in our room and made the beds to their standards and folded my nightwear up too! I found this impersonal We were only there for 2 days, no one should need to go in unless asked by clients. I like to feel at home when we go away not like we are being watched and feel uncomfortable.
