I fell asleep and must have turned the TV on when I turned over. I awoke to the owner trying to get into my room. Luckily, I had put the lock on, so he could not gain access. This act made me very uncomfortable. As there were no other guests who it could have disturbed, I think it was an overreaction. I packed my bags and left the next morning

The team at Brookside went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. The breakfasts were truly incredible, we left every day feeling refreshed and ready to take on the (rainy) days!

The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was amazing

Perfect, welcoming hosts, impeccably clean, breakfast was amazing, lots of choices, advised about local restaurants. Value for money and close to the town centre and harbour, nice chilled stay I would highly recommend

Hospitality was excellent..Greeted on arrival with tea and cake and lots of info. Nice room overlooking the garden. Very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Nice garden with hot tub olif you wanted it. All in all couldn't have been better.

Not a thing..

Very ordered and well equipped guest house.It has a jacuzzi and steam room.The breakfast menu was comprehensive and varied and very well cooked . Linda and Jo the hosts were friendly and v.helpful about travel bus timetables for other places nearby in Devon and good local eateries recommended by locals.In short a quality service competitively priced which triumphs on attention to detail.

The plug in the room basin didn't hold water long enough for me to complete my wet shave with one amount of water in the basin.But no real problem I just shaved more quickly the second time !

Room was spacious and spotless. Breakfast was exceptional. Linda and Joe were fantastic hosts.
