The Lighthouse

Lovely location and super friendly host. Very easy to get to longleat/centre parks and very close to Frome. Beds super comfy too. Breakfast really good.

Really nice rooms, but a tiny bit of TLC could be had in places but doesn’t affect the stay in any way.

We had a wonderful stay at this guest house. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The hosts were warm and welcoming, always ready to help with local tips. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. We would happily return and highly recommend it to others.

Clean, tastefully decorated, lovely grounds. Good parking. Efficient but relax. The courtyard and all around the property is beautiful kept. Lovely breakfast and comfy bed.

Beautifully well presented b&b managed currently by a wonderful couple - warm, friendly, helpful and very accommodating . Beds were super comfy, our family suit perfectly presented - clean and very spacious. Breakfast lots of choice English cooked delicious, the children loved the pancake maker and I enjoyed yogurt with nuts and fruit.

It was clean and comfortable, and the outside table and chairs was nice to have. The parkland and lake, and lovely cafe, made it extra special.

From the moment we arrived we were treated warmly and shown around by Ferdinand who was very pleasant and informative.Rowena was a lovely person very gentle speaking but very welcome and nothing was a bother to her she made us feel very welcome and was interested to hear how your day had gone. she is a credit to the lighthouse.the accommodation was very welcoming and clean in very nice surroundings.

There was nothing i didn't like but it would have been better if it had an onsite restaurant as the area is a bit remote and you needed a car to get around but this didn't detract from our experience at the lighthouse.

Lovely peaceful place. Beautiful lake that we enjoyed walking too. It was so quiet at night and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the little packages of shower gel, body cream and conditioner left for each person...how nice is that?? The breakfast was wonderful and nothing you asked for was ever a problem.The grandchildren loved the pancake machine! Loved playing cards and games with the grandchildren in the cosy room in the farmhouse. The grounds of the main house are stunning. Only a short drive away from Longleat where we spent a magical day. Also near Bath for a visit to the Roman Baths. The staff were very attentive and extremely friendly. Could easily have stayed for longer.

We liked everything. Had a couple of mosquitoes in our room that bit both my husband and I but being by a lake you expect that. We had a mosquitoe plug in that was in the room when we got there. As I say they literally think of everything here to make your stay a good one.
