The Village Inn

Great location for travelling north, an incredible Scottish breakfast, comfortable spotlessly clean rooms and Alison is the most welcoming and hardworking host. We had a fantastic stay, thank you.

It is a lovely, homey inn with a great view on the cows and sheep in the back field. Great sized rooms and a cozy lounge area with a wonderful homemade breakfast!

Very convenient location, very cozy and comfortable. Alison is simply amazing, a true example of Scottish hospitality and kindness, made us feel welcome and gave us great tips for our visit in Scotland. The room was very comfortable and spotless, including bathroom. Bed was super comfortable! Refrigerator and kettle were available, with coffee/tea and little Scottish cakes, which was very appreciated. A hearty cooked Scottish breakfast was served in the morning (with tea or coffee) but for those with less appetite, fruit salad, yoghurts and cereals as well as fruit juices were available as well. Would strongly recommend.

Excellent breakfast well cooked the best I have had at any Band B lots of friendly chat with host could not ask for any more thanks.

Breakfast was extensive and freshly prepared to our order. Service was friendly and it was a very convenient and quiet location just off the motorway.

nothing really - maybe unsweetened greek yoghurt instead of low fat flavoured ones at breakfast but that's about all

Alison is a great host, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. 10/10 for me!!
