4 Canon Lane

4 Cannon Lane is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Chichester. We booked room 8 (single accessible) and room 4 (double/twin). Both rooms were very clean, plenty of room to move around, and fully stocked with all the essentials. The bathrooms were very clean and the water pressure was a pleasant surprise. The beds were a little too soft, however the pillows were perfectly firm. At the end of the day, this is an extremely personal preference so wasn't too difficult. We really appreciated the tea/coffee and biscuits, and the heater and fan provided were a really nice touch. The location is excellent as it is tucked away by the church so it's very easy to get to from the station and town centre, yet away enough to enjoy a quiet night sleep. The gardens were beautiful. We are already planning on coming back to Chichester and will stay here again.

Everything was perfect. I recommend installing some sort of water dispenser in the hallway for guests, but it is just a suggestion :)

Fantastic position, adjacent to the cathedral. Extraordinarily quiet and peaceful. The room had everything that was needed, plus a comfortable bed. Good coffee.

There was a very light bed covering- not really a duvet. The blurb promised additional blanket in the wardrobe, but there was none. TV rather small and antiquated, but this was a minor issue

One of the dreamiest places I have ever stayed in. A spacious room with a view of the Cathedral, and the lanes and gardens and woodland surrounding it; yet close to the city centre with good shops and restaurants. Bus stops nearby, and the station within walking distance. Comfortable beds, good showers, coffee machines in the rooms. No fridge, but a convenient supply of freezer blocks and chiller bags to use as needed. A lovely garden to relax in the evening, with robins and wrens hopping around. The stunning Fishbourne Roman Palace a short bus ride away.
