The only ever so slight negative was the shower- cubicle was on the small side.

Friendly welcome from the owner. Ample parking. Hot drinks could be made in the bedroom, with proper milk provided. Good cooked breakfast was included in the price. Nice dining pub just a few minutes walk away. Local area was quiet on a Saturday night, with little traffic noise. There is a guest lounge, which would be useful if travelling with friends.

Not a complaint, as we knew about it when booking, but the upstairs Coach House rooms have sloping ceilings and beams, including one running across the bed. If you are of more than average height you would find it difficult to avoid banging your head, so ask for a downstairs room, or one in the main house. The shower room is tiny, and was ok for us for a short stay, but would be unsuitable for a larger person.

Excellent location close to Ironbridge centre (nice walk), near the river and a couple of pubs very close. Friendly helpful host and very good breakfast. A proper traditional B&B!

The room we had (double) was upstairs in an outbuilding, had a sloping ceiling and very tiny bathroom. It was absolutely fine and excellent value for money but if we were tall people it wouldn’t have been comfortable so worth others being aware.

On the plus side – A warm welcome and the house is nicely located for Ironbridge and Bliss Hill. There is a good local pub within 4 mins walk and plenty of room to park. Breakfast was fine and despite a couple of mix-ups, the host tried to be accommodating.

The property no doubt gets its 4-star rating from the main house. If you stay in the annex ‘Coach House’ be prepared for very small rooms, an even ridiculously smaller en-suite (approx 1 sq metre of free floor area) and a divan double bed supported by sheets of 8mm plywood. Clearly you get what you pay for, but the adverts were definitely relying on the attraction of the main house, yet we felt we were certainly in the servant’s quarters. To add insult to injury – don’t put the kettle on at 07:00 without opening all the windows, as the steam set of the fire alarm for a nice early morning wake-up call for everyone. We would not stay there again; luckily we only had to squeeze in for 1 night.
