Rockvilla Guest House

Our host was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. The rooms were exceptional with lots of nice touches. There is also a big room downstairs with games and tables and microwave to use. Lovely location, with the loch just across the street. The town is also quaint, and the local pub was delightful.

The best of the B & Bs we stayed at in Scotland. We never met the owners but they provided clear instructions for gaining access.

Bed and breakfast was not provided.

The views were fab and it was very cosy and comfortable to stay in, the parking was good and it was wonderful to wake up loch side. The process of checking in and checking was very smooth and easy and our hosts were fantastic with communication and very accommodating. It was lovely to have breakfast included in our room with scotch pancakes and Jam. We really enjoyed our stay here and the facilities were all fab. I really liked the highland shampoo and conditioner in the shower and that was so handy to have. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep, I happily recommend staying here. It’s a great stop along the NC500 route.

Nothing it was fab!

Good quality furniture; comfy bed; plenty of storage space; lovely toiletries and heated towel rail in beautiful big bathroom. Was good to be able to access crockery and wine glasses; would have been better still if the bar had been open and a cooked breakfast available, but at least we knew in advance. Well situated for the shop and other facilities.

The view from our room was a rockface, so slightly disappointing as I thought we'd be overlooking the loch. But it meant the room was quiet, private and away from traffic noise. The fridge in the room was a bit noisy though and there was a sign saying "do not switch off" so we didn't but I'd have found traffic noise less disturbing.

Rockville is well appointed, comfortable and in a great location. Complimentary pancakes and drinks were appreciated. Lauren is a very friendly host and we much appreciated her local suggestions.

Access to water in the guest common are would be a bonus.

This property has an outstanding location from many points of view. the loch is immediately in front of the house and is very convenient for the challenges of the Applecross peninsula; Our host was charming and very helpful in determining our itinerary for our stay; There was ample provision of tea:coffee in the room.which was of good size but lacked an en-suite. The bathroom on the opposite side of the corridor ,was specific to our room and was spacious and well equipped.

Whilst understanding the reason for the change in practise for the breakfast arrangements(work/life balance) we felt that more options could have been provided for the morning. For me , the matress was badly sprung and consequently was too hard. The lack of an en-suite, meant one traversed a public area at night.

La Localisation était parfaite pour nous. Le lit était super confortable avec une superbe vue. La chambre était grande, avec fenêtres sur deux côtés.

Nous avions réservé avec petit déjeuner inclus. Les propriétaires ont décidé de ne plus offrir de petits déjeuners complets et nous ont avisé. mais nous sommes déçus de la solution de rechange qui a été proposée.

Sehr großzügiges schönes Zimmer. Direkt an der Straße ( jedoch nicht sehr befahren) und am See.
