Southernhay Guest House

Friendly and reasonably priced B&B close to the seafront and well connected to station and town centre via main bus routes. Everything was clean and tidy and breakfast was great. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating.

Friendly and welcoming hosts; Darren was superb during breakfast each morning, great service skills and sense of humour. Southernhay is perfectly located for a 5 min walk to the lovely Westbourne shops, and a 15 min walk to the beach through the amazing Alum Chine.

a quite steep staircase and no lift for an elderly person (I’m 82)

The place is absolutely spotless and the location is very good. In a lovely quiet area.

The bed was a bit hard for us both and the quilt too warm for the hot weather we had (28C) in the day and for that reason I did not sleep very well. The good thing is that you could open the windows.

Smart. Welcome good. Bedroom and shower room (detached) were modern and fine. I enjoyed breakfast - There was a good choice. Staff were attentive to detail.

Nothing apart from road entrance to hotel driveway was tricky! There is nothing anyone can do about it!!
