Holly Lodge

Onsite car parking, very clean, superb breakfast, very friendly staff, central and quiet location. Within easy walking distance of castle, shops and some great restaurants.

Only two relatively minor ones: no fridge in the room (just shared one in the lobby), and although included in the info we couldn't see any access to the garden.

The shower was amazing. The breakfast was delicious. They offered kippers!! They had a nice sun room you could relax in. The location was great and so easy to walk into town.

Checking in was very simple and very clear instructions provided. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful too. The location is excellent and near the town centre, and car parking is provide for all guests. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms were spotlessly clean. If I return to Alnwick I will book again at Holly Lodge.

Very clean, close to the town and castle and the bedroom was light and airy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was perfect with good local produce. Very pleasant staff too. George was there to welcome us on arrival and everything ran very smoothly.

It would have been nice to use the lounge facilities but the door was locked when we tried it.

One problem. You had to make your breafast choice the prior evening. After an unforseen night of jollities you may require a different meal to yhe one ordered. Having said that I can see the proprietors view point in gettinh food prepared.
