Creag Mhor Lodge

Our room was great, very spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Nothing, the whole experience from check in through was great.

A lovely quiet location overlooking the Loch.

Having to hand our room key in when you went out & then having to ring reception to let you in, a little too far to travel for dinner so had dinner each night at the Lodge, menue is a little limited - pizza, cheese platter & chilli or curry

Certainly spectacular location next to the Glencoe Highlands and also a beautiful building. One super nice and friendly lady at breakfast.

Definitely not a hotel as you’re used to. More like a youth hostel, where you have to hand in the key every time you leave, where the front door gets locked during day time (until 4pm) and you have to call them by phone to ask, whether they could please let you in again, where they ask both evenings, where we were going to dinner (??), where the cheapest room (still 160$ per night without breakfast) is so tiny that it does neither have space a wardrobe nor for 2 open suitcases (1 must lay on the floor). A very controlling lady at the entrance basically. The vibes were just not at all a 4star hotel like in other regions of Scotland. I guess they just can do this due to their location, asmost tourists only visit once …

Uns hat es hier hervorragend gefallen! Das Zimmer war riesig und sehr komfortabel. Die Bar hatte eine so tolle Aussicht und war so gemütlich, dass wir sogar kurzerhand entschieden haben hier abends zu essen, statt auszugehen. Die Bar ist auch super sortiert und als Whisky-Liebhaber sind wir hier absolut auf unsere Kosten gekommen. Wir würden jederzeit nochmal hier übernachten und können die Creag Mhor Lodge sehr empfehlen!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Alles vorhanden was man zum Frühstück braucht. Sehr nettes Personal.

Leider in näheren Umgebung keine bis wenige Restaurants.Schade war das der Aufenthaltsraum mit der Bar früh geschlossen wurde. Wenn man mit Kollegen unterwegs ist kann man nicht noch länger plaudern oder etwas trinken, sehr schade.

Schönes altes und gepflegtes Haus in sehr guter Lage. Viele alte Details erhalten und sehr gemütlicher Common Room mit Bar am Abend. Das ganze Haus penibel sauber, was wirklich sehr angenehm ist.

Die Inhaberin und das gesamte Personal sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber irgendwie ein bisschen reserviert und sehr kontrolliert, was nicht bedeutet, dass der Gast kontrolliert wird (!), sondern die Interaktion wirkt sehr getragen, wenig entspannt. Abends an der Bar gibt es wirklich jede Menge Whisky zu kosten, aber man sollte bei jedem Glas nach dem Preis fragen.
