The Albannach

The location was amazing. The breakfast was imaginative and delicious. The room was extremely comfortable with the extra touches making it special.

Couldn’t improve.

We had the penthouse, which is enormous by UK standards. Bedroom, living room, and separate bathrooms and shower rooms. Easily the largest suite we've stayed at on this trip. Only knock on the room was the sheets, though of high quality, were quite scratchy and the pillows were very hard. It is such a lovely place, but the beds were not comfortable. The breakfast was spectacular; possibly the best we've had in two weeks of travel. Oat smoothie was unique and divine. Salmon Benedict and the Omelet were both excellent.

As mentioned, the bed sheets were scratchy and the pillows quite hard. That is our only knock on an otherwise charming property. But visitors should be advised, there is almost no food in Lochinever. Only two dinner restaurants, and they seem to close on alternate days, so often only one place to eat, so advanced reservations are absolutely a must even in the off season. Because of a cancelled dinner reservation we made 6 weeks in advance, we went hungry our night in Lochinever. Not the fault of hour hosts, but something you should know if staying at the Albannach.

Beautiful property in a lovely garden setting, we were in the Byre,a one bedroom property separate from main house at the top of the hill with great views… a very relaxing enjoyable stay and totally agree the reviews.. the breakfasts are amazing!!!🤗

The breakfast was incredible, and the room was adorable. I wish I stayed longer to fully experience all the property has to offer. It has an incredible view and a cozy feel. It was truly beautiful with very nice hosts.

This place is stunning. Believe the reviews. The attention to detail, the luxury and the welcome provided by Ballal are all quite outstanding.
