1 Ashford Road Guesthouse

We booked this stay as a family with the simple expectation of a restful night's sleep — something every guest should be able to take for granted , unfortunately, that was not the case. The extra beds were extremely uncomfortable, with thin padding over hard wooden slats, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Our younger daughter couldn’t manage more than a few minutes on it before moving to our bed, and I ended up on the sofa just to make it through the night. We all woke up exhausted and sore — a far cry from the restful experience we had hoped for. It’s especially disappointing to see that previous guests have raised the same issue, and yet no improvements have been made. It speaks to a lack of attention to guest feedback and basic hospitality standards. I strongly suggest the owners try sleeping on those beds themselves — one night would be enough to understand the discomfort. Had we seen these repeated complaints before booking, we would never have chosen this place. Guests deserve better.

Good location as in close proximity to airport.

Clean beds, Comfortable Bed. Good secure parking. Easy to access and very close to the airport. Host was able to provide an extra mattress for £15 per mattress, which was great for the children.

Better toiletries please. Dimmer bedside lamp please. It was very bright.

Shower was so tiny! It was quite noisy at night because of the cars outside- parking was very limited we only found 1 spot. And there were so many spiders in our room :(

Close to airport

Pillow too soft. Carpark too busy.
