View, hot shower

Constant noise from some water pump all night. Hard to sleep.

Lovely homely place with a friendly and helpful host. There are communal kitchen facilities and a washing machine. The central heating was needed and useful on some of the colder nights. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The hand shower wall attachment was broken so you had to hold the shower. The road outside the gate was dug up due to maintenance making it very muddy and the entrance quite inaccessible - but this was not their fault.

Our room had an astonishing central view on Kazbek. It was very clean and comfortable. Heating was turned on at night, which was very helpful in low temperatures 🙂 The water in the shower was always hot and stable. Wi-Fi worked quite well. 5 minutes on foot to the center of Stepantsminda (grocery stores, restaurants). The shared kitchen is big and comfortable for making your own food. There's a terrace where you can eat with Kazbek views. I can't imagine a better place for staying in Stepantsminda 🙂 However, the best about Guesthouse Elia are the lovely hosts. Maia and her family are very hospitable and helpful. We had an issue with our car, and they helped us a looooot! Didi madloba! ♥️

clean room, access to a large nice kitchen free coffee, tea, sugar, plates etc, I asked for an iron the owner lent me his which was nice, the room had heating the weather outside was cold and raining, the heating was most helpful, everything was OK

The bed was comfortable and the room was warm, with a nice view to the mountains. Check-in was easy and, even though there was a language barrier, the host was friendly and welcoming. Also the place was in a convenient location.

The room was a bit disappointing, it looked more like a hostel than a guesthouse, and the entire place was a bit run down compared to the pictures. We were surprised by the overall score of 9.3, which did not seem to correspond to our experience. Finally, for a more comfortable experience, we definitely missed some toiletries in the bathroom, since those provided were limited to hand soap, and a bit limiting if you are not travelling with your own bottles of shampoo...
