Fairwater Head

We stayed out of season and the owners were charming.

A little out in the sticks but a lovely stay. We were after a night away from home, and from the kids, not too far away, with a bath facility since we don't have this at home. Really comfortable bed, big window with a lovely view over the garden and nearby forest. Bathroom was nicely decorated, and we thoroughly enjoyed a soak in a hot bath. Close to Axminster, where we went out to dinner at a favourite restaurant before returning for the night to unwind.

We think that a cooked breakfast would be good.

Great place and great hosts! Loved to see how they welcomed us with our dog! Just superb!

Great stay at Fairwater, very welcoming hosts and really comfortable room. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Breakfast was buffet style; toast, croissant, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juices, tea and coffee, fruit - all fresh and quality items, beautifully presented. Hotel in a quiet rural location. Car parking was a breeze. Footpaths close to hotel lead to nearby charming village of Hawkchurch (interesting church and a pub that is actually still open!). Owner is lovely.
