Old town location, clean and warm

This is an exceedingly comfortable, quiet and convenient family-run hotel situated on the very edge of the trendy old section of Nafplion, and directly below the Palamidi Fortress on the hilltop overlooking the city. The proprietor and his family lived in the building for years, and then renovated it into this very charming and splendidly upgraded tourist hotel. Everything in our room was newly decorated and furnished, particularly the bathroom and small kitchenette space. No breakfast served, but we were referred to an excellent local breakfast cafe a few blocks away, named Kalimeri, where we ate both mornings of our stay. The old town downtown is steps away from this pension, and is very lively and energizing. Is also near the harbor.

Great location and very comfortable accommodation. We were on the top floor with a lovely balcony outside. Vangelis, the host, was very helpful and easy to contact if we had any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing

Small but very cosy and nicely furnished good smelling room with a big and comfy bed. Also it included a small balcony, air conditioner, a kettle as well as a small fridge. As a complimentary the room inluded water, juice, snacks and utensils to make coffee and tea. The Pension is located on the edge of the old town which is great as you can walk everywhere. Also the main bus station is just around the corner. The staff was very helpful with everything and also made an earlier check in possible as we arrived early due to bus schedule.

As mentioned in the other comments the building is small and thus had no elevator. Also the staircase is narrow so it is not that easy to carry bigger luggage pieces upstairs. Also the shower cabin is a bit too small so for me (male, 185cm) it was not very comfortable to take a shower as I could barely move in the shower cabin.

Onar's Pension is very well done. Nice people, beautiful building, located extraordinary well in Nafplio Old Town. Almost everything is located nearby and recommendations by the host are really helpful. We definetly recommend this place!
