Heather was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. Great base for touring isle of skye.

Just to let readers know there are steps up to the guest room, but our host happily offered to help with carrying a suitcase. The host's home is in a suburban dead-end street so it was extremely quiet and easy to sleep. The room is very modern and has a lovely bathroom. The single beds were very comfortable. We had arrived with partially wet washing and Heather happily dried them off for us in the dryer. It was much appreciated. We stayed two nights and used the B&B as our base for a look around the Isle of Skye.

There are a few breakfast items available like yoghurt and cereals. (As I have dietary restrictions, I purchased something for myself as I cannot eat wheat flour products or dairy milk products.)

What an absolute delight it was to find this gem of a B & B. We stayed two nights from 17-19 September but will definitely be returning, we loved it so much! From the moment we were welcomed into the cosy hallway by Heather we felt completely at home. This is definitely the BEST B & B we stayed at in our entire Scottish 2023 road trip! The room is very spacious and immaculately clean; everything is sparkling and this was very reassuring. Fortunately, on our first morning, we had factored in a chill-out morning as we really didn’t want to get out of bed. The mattresses and duvet/bedding were so comfortable and, add in good quality blackout blinds in the bedroom Velux window, we could have stayed in bed all morning (we almost did!). Heather was the very best hostess, just the right amount of making you welcome without being too much. She insisted on carrying our suitcase upstairs, (the only place to do this) and replenished the supplies in the fridge on our second morning which was much appreciated. The shower was also excellent, really good water pressure and lots of hot water/lovely towels, Bathroom nice and warm, I think it had underfloor heating. Great internet connection and lots of TV channels if you want to chill out etc. There is a dedicated parking spot for Heatherbrae B & B just across the quiet residential road, only a few steps away, which is great when you have been out for the day coming back late. Having no cooked breakfast is a bonus; you come and go as you please without having to get out of bed at a specific time to eat. More than enough goodies supplied in the fridge to eat at whatever time suits you, very good option in our opinion. Very quiet location, we didn't hear any traffic noise at all. It’s very quick and easy to get onto all the popular tourist routes from here. Really great base for Isle of Skye, Applecross, Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh etc or starting NC500 from a different point. 10 ⭐️ ++++

Quiet, friendly host, very clean, little things like tidying up our room and healthy breakfast provisions.

The mattresses are very soft and not good for our backs.

Heather is a super friendly and helping host. She even gave us a lift to the bus. It was raining when we left, so she offered to take us to the station. We wanted to book a tour and she called the office for us. There is almost a kitchen in the room (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle) and Heather gave us some ingredients for breakfast, so we had breakfast every morning in the room. We absolutely recommend to stay at Heatherbrae's! We felt like home there. Thank you Heather for making our stay in Kyle super lovely!

It was beautifully appointed with everything we could possibly need.

We thought we were staying in Plockton with our group and we weren’t but that was our error.

There is nothing to not like. Beautiful room and decor, bathroom envy. Fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Cutlery and crockery available. So close to Skye and Heather is just the best.

The location was nice and quiet and a good base for visiting Skye. The host was friendly and helpful and the breakfast supplies were a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

The 3 nights went by too fast.

What a great place to stay. Very nice room, well-equipped, very quiet but still close to the places to see and a wonderful host.
