Nest Guesthouse

It's a charming house in a very residential neighborhood of Margate. A few meters away, there are bus stops to access the best areas of this part of the UK, as well as an avenue with cafés, restaurants, and shops. It’s a 30-minute walk from the city center along the top of coastal cliffs, offering incredible views. There is a minibar in the room, an electric kettle for making coffee and tea, and other kitchen facilities. The TV is good and has local channels, which turned out to be quite entertaining. The bathroom is excellent and very clean. A great stay for exploring the area or just spending two nights.

It was lovely and comfy room. Nice area only 10min away from the beach and only short drive from town centre. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Recommend to everyone.

Friend and I had the most relaxing one-night (two days) stay at Nest Guesthouse last week. We paid for accommodation but got so much more. Martina and Kevin are amazing hosts! Martina communicated with us from point of booking, making sure we had all the information we needed to get to the house. As the guests before us had checked out early in the day, she told us we could check in as soon as we got to Margate, instead of waiting until 4pm, which we were grateful for. Once there, Martina and Kevin were so attentive to our needs, from greeting us on arrival to seeing us off on leaving (reluctantly on our part). The ensuite room was well presented, clean and cosy, with great Wi-Fi, a TV, small fridge, toaster and trolley loaded with goodies for breakfast and snacks. Bathroom had a full range of toiletries. We were given access to the kitchen and lovely garden, where we relaxed and had our meals while chatting, laughing and enjoying the sunny weather. The lovely pictures and cute adages dotted around the house made us smile and we had the pleasure of meeting the real boss of the Nest, Stanley (the much pampered cat). The location of the Nest is perfect, being a short walk from a small quiet beach, shops and restaurants. Restaurant prices were a lot less expensive than in London, which was a bonus! A superloop bus runs through the area, which makes nearby train stations, other small beaches, Margate’s main beach, shopping centre and Dreamland (amusement park) very accessible, if you don’t have a car. By the time we left, we felt as though we had visited dear friends or had been at a therapeutic centre. We loved it so much, we are going back for four days next week. Can’t wait!!😃

Excellent facilities such as small fridge, breakfast supplies , bathroom supplies and its very comfortable. Hosts are friendly, attentive and respectful.

Generally is very clean, however there are some few things that needs to be deeply cleaned such as sink of the washbasin and some tiles edges in the shower, however there is nothing that can’t be sorted easily.

Hosts are lovely, really close to the sea, really beautiful house, really clean, big fun garden for kids, amazing complimentary table full of treats that is topped up daily, super comfortable beds, super accommodating last minute, really helpful and communicative literally can’t fault it

Room facilities were excellent with fridge and toaster facilities. Supplies provided for a warm snack and sandwiches as well as all other facilities on a fully equipped room trolley. Nothing is too much trouble for Kevin and Martina. I could not have wished for more from this friendly and welcoming couple. I was able to walk down to the beach and go in the in the sea with information from Kevin about the tide times. Such a healthy and healing experience. I opted for a cooked breakfast made perfectly. Thank you both so much and all being well, hope to see you again.

Lovely stay with Tina and Kevin who made us feel most welcome into their home. Room was lovely and well maintained with seaside vibe. Food trolley had everything you could ask for, breakfast, sweets, tea/coffee and replenished daily. Convenient for Margate waterfront and local pubs for dinner. Lovely outdoor area for you to sit and ponder the day with a nice cold drink. Lots of local knowledge which was great. Would recommend a stay.
