NOTHING - DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY

It was NOTHING like the picture on booking.com, inside or out. Cheap, tatty makeover. Only stayed one night.. Will be contacting Trades Description team. Neither booking.com nor owners have responded to my emails. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

Close to where I needed to be the next day... off street from parking .

Comfortable bed Nice smell when you entered the building

1) the place looks NOTHING like the photos on Booking. Com. The front is a carpark, not a nice pictures garden as they make to seem out. The front door is a black heavy door with lots of key doors for all the rooms. I had problems opening it because it was so very heavy. The shower was clean BUT I could not use it because the thermostat was locked and boiling hot and I could not set it to a normal water temperature, even when I used the little button on the side as well. I would have scolded myself had I stepped in there. Windows are VERY wide open and people could easily enter the room from the outside so I had to keep my windows shut in this heat (33c outside). No fans in the room!

The beds were very comfortable facilities were adequate and served a purpose.

Arrived at the cottage to find a large van parked across the drive with 3 non English speaking Eastern Europeans taking delivery of alcohol out the back. The van left and I was able to park. Then I went into my room and what struck me first was the smell and the heat. It smelled like stagnant water so I opened the window to let air in and that’s when the noise started. The 3 blokes from the other end of the corridor who had the drink delivered were outside my room by the window drinking and smoking and really loud but the worst part was the drag back in the throat and the spitting that followed it. When they went back to their room (No5) I could still hear them from my room (No3) which was the other end of the corridor with the door and window shut! Can’t blame the landlord for that but it didn’t enhance my stay. The room seemed like it was in need of a refresh, there was a lot of rotten skirting and a worn out rickety wardrobe. The shower was far too small even for my partner who is slim. I couldn’t have a shower without knocking the lever onto hot or off altogether and even when I did manage it the towels provided were about the size of a postage stamp.
