Ionian City

The room could have easily received a high score: it was quite clean, with new facilities, nice infrastructures and great location. However, a few strange issues affected our final rating: First of all, before check-in time, we received a message from the hotel asking us to give a 10/10 rating and not a 1 because it “hurts the algorithm.” Even if the timing was a mistake, this is still not a very common or appropriate thing to do. The AC stopped cooling in the middle of the night, and Greece was very hot in June. We woke up early and were surprised to find that there was no water in the sink, so we couldn’t brush our teeth or use the toilet properly. There were empty shampoo bottles left in the shower from previous guests. The room was not furnished enough. There was nowhere to sit except on the bed itself, not even a small stool. Overall, the room had good potential, but these issues made the stay less comfortable than expected.

Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt im Ioannina City Hotel. Die zentrale Lage ist ideal, um die Altstadt, den See und die zahlreichen Restaurants und Cafés bequem zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das Zimmer ist modern, sauber und komfortabel eingerichtet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, das jederzeit für Fragen und Wünsche zur Verfügung stand.

Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthalts am Morgen kein Wasser, was den Start in den Tag deutlich erschwert hat. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ist das Hotel ausreichend.

Ionian City apartments were perfectly located a 5 minute walk from the main square. They were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for a short stay. Areti was lovely and very helpful. Excellent communication. Many thanks
