Gangga House

A great place to stay in the middle of Ubud and yet quiet. The garden is wonderful. The owners are super nice and helpful. The rooms are large, bright and clean.

The location is very peaceful and I appreciate the family who takes care of the place. The accommodation is walking distance to the center. The room is also big and the bed is comfortable. The internet was also good.

The place is a bit damp for some reasons but it wasn't a problem.

This is owned by a very lovely and sweet family (and dog Filo) who helped me understand some local customs. The rooms are more like suites with sitting areas and a kitchen. Everything is on the ground floor so no tiresome hikes up the stairs. And the location cannot be beat! 5 minutes walk to Yoga Barn, ten minutes from the Ubud Market, and just next to several lovely local restaurants. The central garden is beautiful and well maintained. And even though it was ground floor, there were absolutely NO BUGS! Kind of an incredible feat in the tropics, frankly :)

If I have to choose something - the bathroom could use some updating/maintenance. There was a tub, but it looked like it hadn’t had a proper scrub in a while. The bathroom door was water damaged and didn’t shut properly, and it looked like there was a slight leak in near the toilet (clean water). But this is a very minor complaint for me, its an excellent value for a homestay!

Exceptional ! We just stayed 3 days there. I think one should stay minimum 5 days to feel Ubud. This was just a km away from the centre but you can get grab/gojek anything to travel. From airport you can take official cab. It took us 300k to reach this place. I took grab as I came with family , for young people it's just few minutes away from the centre. Coco supermarket is also within a km, however many minimart and s market nearby, few metres from yogaburn. Hospitality is too good. An essence of living in a Balinese house. It didn't feel like we are staying in a hotel, it seemed we felt like staying with a family. I had an awesome experience living here. Loved the rooms !

Maybe hot water but from April onwards we don't need it as it's too hot. There is nothing to complain. Rooms are great. Shared kitchen is there. Free drinking water. Awesome place

They changed the next day the pillows because they were disgusting, dirty and moldy.

Smell of moldy, wasn’t very clean, the room has a piece of wood to cover a hole which is very annoying because you can hear very well the traffic.

There is no welcoming atmosphere at all. As my friend says terrible place. No value for the money. You can find better place with much cheaper and with breakfast, when you go in you will feel as in abundant place.

Wonderful hosts. The location is convenient, near to good eating places, laundry, banking, salon, spa, etc. Everything we need is within walking distance. Walking distance to Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace (can be quite hot to walk). I feel safe. It's like home away from home. Feels welcoming. I had breakfast the first morning (banana pancake), then the rest of the stay, I did some exploring around. Good for long stay

Nothing to complain about. Just the wifi was weak, and it was down for 2 days. Didn't bother me, as I have data
