We’ve booked hundreds of properties through booking.com and are nearly always happy with what we’ve booked in terms of we get what we’ve paid for. This property’s description is incorrect and misleading. We booked a standard studio for two nights. It shows in the description, on the photos and against the room type a patio, private entrance and seaview. This is why we booked. We were shown room 8 at the top of the stairs with no private entrance or patio. There was a small window with a Seaview. We asked for another room with a patio and showed their description on the website. Their English was poor but said they could give us one downstairs but we’d have to pay an extra €20. We weren’t happy so called booking.com who agreed the description was incorrect and talked to the owners but they wouldn’t budge. It was now 8pm so we asked to be shown the downstairs room with patio. We were shown room C which had a small patio, was below the level of the pool and no Seaview (see photos). Again they didn’t care there was no view. We took it because we were exhausted. On closer inspection, there was no TV, toaster or coffee machine as also stated in the description. Free parking is available at the front but not enough spaces if you turn up late. Nowhere to eat close by if you don’t have a car. Very quiet. The next morning we called booking.com again who gave us a small refund for the inconvenience and told us they’d lodged a complaint with the owners but we would have to wait for an email response from them. On checkout, the owner said we owed €40 cash, we argued again and said we were told €20 and only had €30. They took it but wouldn’t give us a receipt. Just before we returned the key the owner gave us €10 and a receipt!? We told them about the other facilities not provided and they just shrugged. A thoroughly disappointing stay, with no customer service from the property. We are still waiting for a response from them through booking.com and compensation. Booking.
