Mentos was very helpful organising 17 Island tour and share car to Moni. The Riung village vibe was great.

Nothing. It’s not a 5 star resort. If you want a 5 star resort star in Labuan Bajo. The Riung village vibe was perfect and Mentos Bunglowz is a great fit.

Tout était très bien - l’accueil, l’emplacement, le petit déjeuner et les activités. Mentos nous a aidé à passer deux jours agréables à Riung.

Mentos est très gentil et peut vous arranger vos transport et sorties snorkeling. L’hôtel est très bien situé au cœur du village !

Pas de leur faute mais beaucoup de moustique

Amazing stay here as we did a camping trip overnight in the islands. This host was very kind and the breakfast was such an amazing spread of fresh and delicious fruit. Best breakfast we had in 5 weeks. Bed was comfortable and room was nice!

Would have been nice to have a few board games or the ability to buy beer on premises as it would have made more of a communal aspect. Bad mosquitoes so could do with some burning spirals.

The positive side of this accommodation is that at breakfast they serve a truly enormous amount of fruit, which somewhat improves the overall impression of the stay.

Since there are practically no accommodations in this town that would meet the tastes and expectations of Western guests, it is difficult to write an honest review, as it feels like criticizing one of the few available options. Unfortunately, the truth is that the place is really neglected and that at least some effort could have been made regarding functionality and hygiene. One might try to justify it with authenticity, but the accommodation is simply neglected, without any attempt at even minimal repairs or improvements.

L'accueil, le petit déjeuner copieux avec plein de fruits, le personnel attentionné, le tour en bateau (même si on s'attendait à plus de spots de snorkeling)

Pas d'eau au lavabo, pas de drap (seulement un drap housse+ petite couverture), chasse d'eau qui fuit par terre + odeur, porte salle de bain ne ferme pas, distributeur savon cassé, communication en amont très compliquée pour le tour en bateau (compréhension de l'anglais?)

Der Aufenthalt bei Mentos im kleinen Dorf Riung direkt am 17 Island Marine Park hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Mentos ist ein herausragender Gastgeber, der immer ansprechbar ist, Tipps gibt und eine herzliche Atmosphäre schafft. Er organisiert die Bootstouren oder Scooter zum Ausleihen und – in unserem Fall – sogar ein Auto mit Fahrer zur Weiterreise. Insgesamt alles sehr entspannt (indonesisch: santai – entspannt, locker, gelassen). Wir sind vier Nächte geblieben, da wir nach vielen kurvigen Autofahrten quer durch Flores einen Ruhepol gesucht hatten. Das hat perfekt gepasst. Die Bootstouren zum Marine Park sind standardisiert. Kleine Ausflüge in die Nachbardörfer oder einem View Point entlang der Küsten in beide Richtungen hatten uns viel Spaß gemacht. Die Bungalows sind einfach, haben eine Klimaanlage und eine kleine Veranda mit Sitzgelegenheit und Wäscheleine vornedran. Im Dorf gibt es drei kleine Restaurants, Pato Resto mit Live Musik, Cafe del Mar (sehr leckere Küche, wie die anderen auch sehr günstig), und Café Rico (direkt am Steg, wo die Boote starten). Mentos selbst bietet außer dem guten Frühstück sowie Cafe und Tee kein eigenes Essen an. Sein Team hat uns aber unsere Tütensuppe warm gemacht, als an einem Abend der Strom im ganzen Dorf ausgefallen war. Wir sind sehr dankbar für diesen besonderen Aufenthalt auf Flores, am anderen Ende der Welt!
