I Gonia Tis Linas

5 days, Easter 2026, couple of retired Grecospaniards. Great host Lina, and her son George, owner of the only lively cafe in the village. Lina gave us an upgrade with a two-storey apart with fireplace and beautifully decorated. Also George gave us many good tips for excursions. Very good breakfast with variations and many hand-made marmelades and cakes, would prefer a bit more fruits, but we are in a mountain country! Easy access from the main road, free, easy parking. Many beautiful villages and landscapes in the broad surroundings, from Prousos Monastery (even if not religious, it's worth the trip), Lake of Kremaston (south) to Agrafa (north) (make there a break at restaurant neromylos). Karpenisi is not much worth and difficult to park. Rent a car! Very nice horse riding (Natfil or called Fotis?), also tour at lake of Kremaston (very clean and you can swim), buy propolis and other bee products (agriamelissa.gr, at Karpenisi), local cheese and prosciuto etc., the rest you discover yourself. You can do more or less depending on the time period and the weather, like walking in gorges, waterfalls etc.

Not what we did not like, but what we propose as improvements. In the residence, more fruit and towards american breakfast. In megalo chorio, restaurant Thanasis, and the sweet shop on the top (Racomelo?), both not bad, but becoming increasingly touristy, overpriced and overestimated. There is a slight feeling of treating women as of minor value, e.g. sometimes talking to them without looking at them.

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία, πολύ κοντά στο Καρπενήσι και στα γύρω χωριά. Για το πρωινό ό,τι και να γράψω θα είναι λίγο!!! Όλα πεντανόστιμα και δια χειρός κ. Λίνας!!! Ευχαριστούμε πολύ και εύχομαι να ανταμώσουμε σύντομα πάλι!!

Ζεστή φιλοξενία ζεστό δωμάτιο και πολύ καλή τοποθεσία!

ολα ήταν υπέροχα!!! Από την ίδια την κυρία Λίνα, την βοηθό της, τα απίστευτα πρωινά με τις χειροποίητες πίτες και μαρμελάδες, το δωμάτιο, την καθαριότητα, το μέρος... Πραγματικά ήταν καλύτερο και από ότι περιμέναμε!! συγχαρήτηρια!! Και...bonus, ο γιος της κυρίας Λίνας, ο Γιώργος, κινητή εγκυκλοπαίδια της περιοχής, μας έστειλε στα καλύτερα μέρη!!! το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!!

Lina is the perfect host!The room was spacious,clean and warm.Plenty of water pressure for hot showers (no variance in temperature like most places)The breakfast choice was enormous and excellent!

Πολυ περιποιημένο καταλυμα, με ξύλινες λεπτομέρειες, πολυ ζεστό, ευρύχωρο και καθαρό! Το πρωινό σπιτικό και παραδοσιακό! Η κυρία Λίνα εξυπηρετική και πάντα χαμογελαστή! Το συστήνουμε και σιγουρα θα ξαναμεινουμε εκει όταν επισκεφθούμε τα όμορφα χωριά της Ευρυτανίας.

Ζεστό και φιλόξενο μέρος σε ένα όμορφο χωριό,πολύ κοντά σε όλα τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος.
