The location is perfect, a 10-15 min walk to the centre and most meeting points for tours, 5 mins to the station, 5 mins to the beach, 5 mins to a large supermarket, and in the vicinity of some great restaurants (we recommend maestro grill club for the veal and Lola Split for mussels and black risotto). Split is very safe. The room was exactly as pictured, better in fact. It was a good size for a couple, very clean, and quiet at night (unless you're bothered by nature since it is near the beach with seagulls). The bed was comfortable. The shower was modern, with great water pressure, and the bathroom was spacious. We were on the third floor and could reach it using the lift. Marijana, the host, was always quick to respond, helpful and efficient. She had our towels changed right away when requested and kindly stored our luggage for the day since we had an evening flight.
