Guci Guesthouses

The Villa is very spacious, beautiful and clean. Staff cleans it everyday which is good because of the open spaces, so you can always walk barefoot and feel good. The bathroom and upstairs bedroom are open spaces, meaning you can’t close a window to the outside, even on the bedroom. Which means also no AC. The downstairs bedroom has AC. This wasn’t a problem for me and the fan was enough, I even slept with blankets most days. But if you’re used to AC, just be mindful of this. You also get a few bugs, geckos and frogs because of the open space. But as a person who is very afraid of insects, I can say that it is very manageable and worth it for the Ubud experience. The room also has a fridge and some kitchen utensils.

Would be nice to have some mosquitoes incense available for the nighttime in the villa. Internet is not great for working (video calls), but it’s Bali standard. There’s a construction next door which is loud in the morning, but there’s nothing they can do about that.

The Guest house itself is very well maintained. The the onsite staff is very supportive. This is one of the place which is in the center of Ubud and can be easily accessible to other areas like, lunch, dinner and other activities. I highly recommend this place for stay. Specially if you are traveling with Family.

Lizard. Well Guci is not the exception here. Even if you book any 4 start hotel you will see it there because you are in the topical island with lots of greenery surrounding. So you will see lizard everywhere in Bali/Ubud.

No dislikes. Only a suggestion. Please broaden your breakfast selections for greater variety with addiition of plant-based options and gluten-free. Thanks!

I'm considering returning to Bali and staying at Guci House for at least a month. It truly felt like experiencing authentic Bali there. The guest house has a traditional charm, with a lovely and inviting terrace surrounded by lush vegetation from the garden. The bathroom was delightful, open-air, resembling a small garden; I even had the fortunate chance to admire the moon while showering. Everything was incredibly comfortable. I cherished every moment spent in the house, finding it remarkably romantic even though I was alone. The host was exceptionally friendly, always greeting me in the mornings and offering assistance when needed. The breakfast was healthy, featuring a generous fruit platter and a satisfying meal, served either on your terrace or in the garden pavilion. I absolutely adored my stay there.
