Sweet Garden Guest House

Very nice location, definitely worth the price. It was perfect for a few days

Its a very good place to stay when you are in Malang. One of the receptionists helped us with our tour to Bromo National Park since the guide did not show up on time and I did not quite understand him on the phone. Clean rooms and good atmosphere with the garden right in the middle of the hotel. There is a mall 20mins away, as well as many place where you can get food.

Had to pay for extra towels. Room was dark and not very clean

Sweet staff..24h reception. Clean room. Very quiet (except for last night on Saturday, there was a concert in the neighbor house). Did not see any mosquito in the room. Good Ramen and nice bakery next door. The room had receiving we needed including free bottles of water every day.

We had to prolong for one night. The room would still have been free, but the price at the reception was ca. 50% higher than the price we paid for the three nights before. They argued that the price on Sunday is higher. Still we found the same room a bit cheaper online, where they also have to pay commission. We then booked for the much cheaper twin room (basically the same room with a different bed) which is significantly cheaper than the double bed. Later in the day, also the double bed would have been available online for the same price. We just to switch rooms. While it occasionally happens that rooms need to be switched after prolonging, I hoped to find a more customer oriented solution in this case. (Only a very minor minute point). The room smells like sewer, which disappears once the fan in the bathroom is on. Think the first impression would improve if you'd turn on the fan before the guest arrives. Unfortunately also the cafe is closed

Cafe wasn’t open When asked for extra small water, this seemed to be guarded like gold, staff not empowered to help
