The Rice Joglo Eco-Stay

The breakfast was enjoyable and included several vegetarian and vegan options, which we appreciated. The staff was kind and welcoming. Additionally, the staff provided excellent and efficient laundry service. Though the place was hard to get to for a family of five, the staff made it as easy as possible with the narrow walk that is provided. The brought our belongings up and down during check in and check out. It was nice being close to central Ubud.

The location was more inconvenient than the reviews and description let on. The twenty minute walk through rice fields is also very narrow and poorly lit. My son almost fell into a gutter twice while scooters were passing through. I think this is something western kids might be unfamiliar with so it's more unsafe and unfamiliar for us. The bathrooms could have been cleaner and did not have hot water. Overall, the accommodation is not suitable for every family of five, but certainly could be for some. Because of the open window concept of the eco lodge, there were many mosquitos, and more could have been done to make us comfortable- like repellent. Additionally, the photos shown online were misleading and did not accurately represent the quality of the property.

20 min walk to go to Ubud centre; you can’t go there by car, so need a scooter or walk. A bit far, but also nice that it is so quiet.

De ligging van de accomodatie was super. Midden in de rijstvelden, weg uit de drukte van Ubud. Maar wel op 20 min loopafstand. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en Moniek (serveerster) was super aardig en grappig.

De accomodatie heeft geen airconditioning. Er zat een lekkage boven de trap waardoor de stenen trap spekglad was na de regen.

We liked the peaceful vibe around the property. Our kids loved the animals.

We didn’t like the distance between the Villa and main building. The place wasn’t perfectly clean.

Wat een heerlijke plek! Prachtige huisjes met een mooi verhaal(te lezen op de website), vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk eten in het restaurant, zeer kindvriendelijk, prachtige tuin met dieren en verbouwde groenten en fruit. Gevoel alsof je even deel uit maakt van een kleine communitie. Fijne locatie, rustig en prachtig groen, mooie wandeling naar ubud centrum. Aantal leuke andere eetgelegenheden op paar minuten loopafstand. Kookcursus en massages in je eigen verblijf ook aan te raden!

Я была в полном восторге. Так вышло, что мне удалось пожить в двух номерах и каждый из них был лучше, чем на фото) Из обоих номеров открывался отличный вид на рисовые поля (в момент моего пребывания это было состояние грязи но даже так я получала эстетическое удовольствие). Персонал приветливый и всегда готов помочь. Для меня было плюсом что отель находится далеко от проезжей части. Тут не слышно шума машин и центра Убуда. Пешком идти до центральной улицы минут 20 мимо красивых полей и интересных кафе. А если вы будете на мопеде, то можете доехать за 5 минут и рядом с отелем всегда свободная парковка. Когда бронировала отель я переживала что мне придется тащить свой багаж от такси. Но оказалось, что меня подхватят у дороги и на мопедах доставят меня и мой багаж. Это отдельная, очень приятная мелочь. P.S. морские свинки, живущие рядом с моим номером на всегда в моем сердечке

Хотелось бы чтобы завтраки менялись

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, and even after the staff changed the bedsheets, they still appeared dirty, which was quite unsettling. We were offered a new room, but sadly this one also had cleanliness issues. In the end, we felt we had no choice but to move to another hotel. The manager assured us we would receive a refund, but when we followed up later, the owner declined, which was very frustrating and left us feeling poorly treated.
