Good value for the cost. What was particularly nice was the quick & easy assistance for whatever I asked for. They lined me up with a snorkeling boat tour to Menjangan Island for the morning after my arrivaI (VERY highly recommend this trip if you're comfortable snorkeling). They also very quickly arranged for a wonder Balinese massage and also the rental of a scooter. All I had to do was ask, and it happened. Also, a very short walk to the beach without having to cross the busy main road.

Minimal breakfast is to be expected in this price range. Along with a cup of tea or coffee, you can choose between banana pancake or two eggs and one slice of white toast. I'd recommend the banana pancake. I did have trouble with the a/c that didn't seem to respond to the temperature controls, so when it got too cold i had to turn it off, and then soon it got too hot so I had to turn it back on. This was more of a problem at night while I tried to sleep. I did mention this the first day, but didn't get a response from the owner, so I just decided to accept this minor inconvenience.

Nila and Budi are amazing hosts! I was meant to stay at their guesthouse for 5 days, ended up staying 10 I loved it so much. The rooms are really clean and spacious. Wifi is fast, breakfast is delicious. As a solo female traveller I felt a bit lonely venturing up north on my own to scuba dive. But Pondok Rahayu made me feel like home. It was my favourite place to stay in during my 5 weeks of travel in Bali :)

Absolutely nothing!

Beautiful and calm place with a very nice garden entrance. Budy and Nila, the managers, are lovely. The nearby beach, i think name is Pemuteran beach, is very good for relaxing and snorkeling. And if you are lucky you can snorkel with very large turtles on that same beach right where it is indicated that it is safe to enter to the sea since there are no corals in that area. And 100 meters to the left begin to be many corals where you can see a variety of fish. Also, on that beach there is a good restaurant where if you order something you have the right to use the pool, tables and deck chairs that they have right there, which was a perfect plan. Beach, snorkelling, food and pool. And then, after sunset, we went back to the guest house to have a massage on the terrace they have on the top floor with the ladies that they arrenged. Better impossible, After that go out for the diner in the main street that they have just 100 meters faraway. I highly recommend this place for your staying, and i wish you the same luck than us finding the turtles in the snorkelling. They are just there eating the seagrass, 20 meters faraway from the shore, between the coast and the few boats that are there.
