Sari Wangi Cottage

Sari Wangi is a hidden gem in Ubud. There is no traffic noise and the views are just stunning. The only sound is the beautiful waterfall on the edge of the property. Our host Manik is so friendly and helpful.

It would be so great if there was a portable fan in the rooms. It can get a little hot on some nights even with the overhead fan.

Swimming in the pool. Ensuite toilet and bathroom. Breakfast served by Manik each day. Quiet location away from the busy street. Wildlife in the trees. Unspoiled jungle setting.

Beautiful, quiet, lovely host

The owner of the place Manik is very kind and interesting person, we had enriching conversations. The breakfast was good (eggs, toasts and fruits). I appreciated the calm and tranquility of the place, only 5min by scooter from the center of Ubud. There is a nice swimming pool where you can relax and lots of green plants and trees in the garden. The environment is very zen and pieceful.

There were parts in the windows that had no glass, so I had some ants and other insects in my room. There was only one socket in the room(the one where the fridge was plugged in).

It was peaceful, in the middle of the jungle and the owner was so kind and helpful.

Be aware you’ll be very close to nature, so expect to deal with bugs, reptiles, etc.

Location and the view on the jungle. Very quiet though. The mattress wasn’t bad. The bed was big.

No AC here. For this price there were places with AC so I didn’t bother to double check but I was surprised to discover there was none. My neighbors were in the same situation. The heat was unbearable at night and I couldn’t sleep. I had 2 nights booked. The first night I couldn’t sleep and when I told Manik, he suggested that I relax?! I booked another place for the second night. I been to a lot of other places in Bali and I can tell you that this is not a Balinese hospitality. Maybe he treats different guests differently. The facilities are so old. The garden is not under the maintenance. The pool is dirty. Even the glasses were dirty in the room with no water provided. The fridge is hardly working and only one socket with safety questions. Do not recommend the place.
