Kris Kos

The room has AC. wifi and a reasonable price. Also the location is good, only about 10 blocks or so from the beach. its also a bit room with a small porch on the outside and nice windows.

The rules of the property state that you cant consume food or alcohol in the room, but that is not listed as a condition on booking. So what this means is they want you to make a nonrefundable booking, then agree to the rules without having seen them. So consider this. They want you to eat outside the room at the table in the back, which is fine with me. also there is a minor bug problem, but this does not bother me personally. There is a net over the bed.

Location and size of room

The Location is very good as it’s right in the centre. The staff was really friendly and you get a discount on the breakfast and yoga classes at the serenity hotel. The breakfast is really nice (100% vegan!). It’s very basic room but fine for two nights.

It’s a bit complicated at first to know where you have to check in. The room is a few minutes of walking away from the hostel where you have to check in. Same with the serenity where the breakfast and yoga is.

Good value for canggu, had access to eco guesthouse pool down the road which was nice, also the breakfast at eco guesthouse was good

Little bit dirtier and darker than the pictures portray

Had everything we needed, was in such a great location, walking distance from the beach and clubs. Staff were so lovely, it was incredibly cheap in comparison to everywhere else in Canguu and we had a great stay!

It was a little bit grubby, however for the price we did not care

Cheap room, with a warm shower, decent size - and the first property I've been to in SE Asia with a mosquito net. Rooms were cleaned every day, free water and cooking stove etc. Comes with a safe too - which is rare for this pricepoint. Decent enough location for nearby cafes and restaurants, and the famous beach clubs are about a km away, so very easy to get to via a Grab.

Pillows smelt like they were very old, despite having new covers on. Privacy was a bit of a surprise when I had the light on in the evening when I went for a nap and didn't put a curtain across, it was like sleeping in broad daylight. Kris Kos was actually sold out when I arrived, so I was put in their sister hostel about 200m down the road, which was not expected.

Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Everything you need for a short stay. Very helpful friendly staff (this is ran by serenity hotel which is down the road. Check in and check out was there. Very helpful.) big room. Came with mosquito net and fridge.

Noise at night but as expected. Not unbearable.

Tinted windows + lack of natural sunlight was nice for sleeping & privacy, but it also made for a dull vibe during the day. The check-in process was confusing: you have to check in (and out) at Serenity Eco down the road, but these instructions aren't explicitly provided when booking. However, if you contact them via WhatsApp, they'll send some awesome staff down to Kris Kos to help you check in.
