Staff were grand very helpful room was nice

The television 📺 you needed binoculars to see it. The shower 🚿 hose needs replacing

Check in went well. A little quirky to get to the room, but not unexpected. Room was a little small, but satisfactory with a nice ensuite. Breakfast was good - great full Irish. Had a pizza in the pub area for dinner which was also very good.

Parking was a little tight, and it wasn't really within walking distance to city center

Petit déjeuner très copieux, qui se prend dans le pub en dessous à partir de 8h seulement. Il y a aussi possibilité d'y manger le midi sous forme de self avec des plats corrects et généreux. Et le soir c'est à la carte. Parking gratuit devant le pub.

Très cher pour les lieux (170€ la nuit) La chambre était assez petite, une odeur un peu gênante. Mobilier un peu vieillot. 30min de marche pour rejoindre le centre ville. Le prix n'est vraiment pas justifié et pourtant cela restait le moins cher de Kilkenny.

Creaky floorbiards cant be helped.No lift

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was very well equipped, everything seemed nearly new and well maintained, the hot drinks were well stocked and the toilet paper was good quality! There was also free parking. We thought this was very good value.

This is such a minor thing and not really a gripe, just an observation - it took about half an hour to walk to the centre of Kilkenny (to the castle) although we were told a local bus (the KK1) ran from outside the inn into the centre. It's not a particularly scenic walk so my advice to others would be to take the bus.
