The rooms look exactly like the photos, very cute and clean. However, there is not really anywhere to put your things, and there are several issues with this property, including tons of noise from children and other guests, that keep me from recommending it to international travelers. I would personally not stay here again because of these issues, it seems to be a place for local Indonesian families to hang out and let their children run around screaming every day.

Apparently the owners no longer live at this property, and it's now just a single servant woman and another man (her husband?) in charge of the entire place. They appear to be relying on their historical reputation, rather than focusing on good customer service, and don't seem to really care very much about the guesthouse. When I arrived, the man told me to wait on the sofa. After 10 minutes, the woman came downstairs and looked at me with a blank stare when I told here I had a reservation, her English was poor and she was not very friendly and acted strangely. After a difficult check-in process, she then told me I needed to pay an extra 3% service charge, despite the price being guaranteed by Booking. During the next several days of my stay, I had constant issues with the WiFi not working, and they also lock the gates in the evening, and nobody is around to help open the gates if you come back to the guesthouse in the late evening. The local neighborhood also has a "security" gate that completely closes off the street at night, so if you take a taxi back home in the evening or order any food delivery services, they will not be able to arrive at this property at all. The biggest problem with this property, however, was the total lack of soundproofing, paired with a few extremely rude guests who allowed their children to run around screaming and jumping on the stairs for 2 days straight. I tried to find a manager or security, but nobody was to be found, and my messages to the owners on Booking went ignored for around 10 hours. I finally had to confront the other guests by myself, and two large men came over and screamed in my face after I dared asked them to quiet down. The attached coffeeshop is run by two snobby young girls, half the menu was "out of stock", they gave me the wrong drink, and it tasted terrible too. The best way to describe this property is obnoxious and unwelcoming.

Feels like home

I didn’t expect anything in the beginning with such budget price but after stayed, I think that this guest house must be the best in Java. I have lived in Indonesia for decades and I know what the quality of budget hotels are in Java, which are normally very dirty and staff never care the guests after checked in. This guest house offers free Nescafé.. this was the first time for me to see the Nescafé in budget hotel in Java. ( Normally budget hotel offers local coffee only) Nice surprise.

Appreciated to change the bigger water tank for hot water. If 2 people take showers continuously hot water was not enough especially for women with long hair. Personally I didn’t need the TV but prefer to have a Frege instead.

The guesthouse was very clean, neat and smell good. So great to spend the night here!! It had 4 pillows in the bed. Room was very spacious. AC works well. There was a water dispenser outside the room. Feels like come back to our parents house. It's homey. There were birds chirping. Great interior and exterior home design. And the towels were so clean and in perfectly white color. The staff very helpful. Water heater works well too. Everything was great!!

Love the decorations, antique wooden furniture, the Wi-Fi is good. It’s comfortable and clean. The price is good.

On Sunday morning 7am there was a construction going on right outside of my window, it was really annoying.
