Maharga Bungalows

The staff were awful, if you want to stay around this location I highly recommend D’lebah home stay, they are extremely helpful and the facilities are much nicer and a fraction of the price. The staff are amazing at D’lebah which makes a huge difference to your stay. The staff at Maharga were extremely rude and unhelpful and one of them even yelled at me

A family of 5 in the bungalow next door to me paid $20 less for the room for the night, when I raised this with the staff they laughed in my face and yelled at me. Do not stay here. Awful attitude

The host is very polite and friendly and the bungalow was very clean. It's great value for the money.

Close to crystal beach which has wonderful snorkeling and sunset views. Clean, room made daily, lots of space to spread out. The host and family are very nice, and provided coconut water from their property for free, and ran out to purchase water for me when the mini mart was closed. It is located in a cul-de-sac with nearby bungalow/restaurants, a spa, and a minimart.

It rained unusually hard for about two days and when it was raining the hardest, there were some rare drips from the ceiling - it was so small that I was relatively unbothered by it. The minimart nearby is often closed during the day (its owner works at crystal beach during the day) but the host would run out to get more water bottles if I wasn’t able to access any.

Our room was so mouldy we literally could not breathe in there. The sealing over our bed was covered in black mould and the bathroom sealing was covered in a thick green layer of mould. It was honestly a health hazard even being in there. There was constantly a lot of rooster around making a lot of noise and kept us awake from 3am. Scooter hire was expensive despite them not working properly. We left after one night even though we had paid for two and we weren’t offered any sort of compensation when we tried to complain.

Quite an adventure to stay literally in the middle of the jungle. The last few minutes take you over a bumpy gravel road. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. There is a cute little garden in front of the bungalows. Only around 5 min walk to Crystal Bay.

Breakfast was really average. Rooms looked like they could need some renovation and new paint. Window in the bathroom ceiling was broken. Had better accommodations for less money on Bali before.

Green and quiet location, decently clean room and spacious bathroom.

Breakfast was tasty but it was served very slowly. We rented a scooter at the property - the rear light didn't work and the speed / fuel display was completely unreadable.

Very nice place. Very hospitality. I like it.

road to Bungalows is not good

The bungalow is great value for money. The aircon is superb, the bed is good, great sized overall. The location is good for Crystal Bay, but after dark there’s not much around. There a few other hotels within seconds from the bungalows. They allow you to use the pool if you buy something (handy for cooling off post beach time). There’s only 2 small restaurants, so you will have to get a taxi/scooter if want to venture further afield. We had pancakes and fruit for breakfast. The hotel manager arranged scooters and a private manta ray sleep, he even had an alternative pillow as our were too high. Great service, great price, but unless you’re just hanging out at Crystal Bay everyday, you will need a scooter/car.

Fridge will be a nice bonus.
