Surf Camp 79

Lovely vibe, all of the staff were super friendly and helpful! Enjoyed being a little out of the busyness of Kuta and having a place that felt like home to come back to! Surf lessons were super fun and helpful!

Staying in Surf Camp 79 was really nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I booked a surf camp with them, including lessons and other activities as yoga and body recovery. It was really fun! Small groups and maximum 2 students per teacher. Good communication about times according to the tide. Recommend to stay here!

A great place to stay in Kuta! The staff are super friendly and helpful, hiring a bike was really easy and allowed us to travel to and from the beaches. The room was spacious and the AC was great! Breakfast was good but a little limited for a vegan diet. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The only downside to our stay was the shower never got hot but it wasn’t really cold.

Our family of 4 had a super nice stay here for a week. The friendly staff was great, and made us feel at home right away! We rented a dorm room for the family with 4 twin beds and our own bathroom. Comfortable firm beds, clean, good simple breakfasts, and a nice shaded terrasse on the roof to hang out and eat. We took two surf lessons with June and he was a great, patient and fun teacher, and made it an amazing experience for us all - our kids loved it! We also liked that the Pipes hotel nearby has a pool that you can use if you buy a meal there. And it’s next to a local market that sells fruit and veg if you get up early enough.

The only challenge is that you will need motorbikes to get around to the various beaches (unless you’re going as part of a surf lesson, in which case they drive you with a car). Walking to downtown Kuta (restaurant area) will take approximately 30 min.

It was a lovely stay. Everyone staying was friendly and staff were friendly.

We didn’t realise that the surf camp and the lessons couldn’t be joined, but that’s okay, we should have asked first. Just good to be aware of if you are staying :)

For the private room we were offered a key. We weren’t offered a key for the joint dorm room. There were locking cupboards for your bags but no key for the actual door

Staff were very friendly, funny and an all round good time. They helped me when I lost my scooter like an idiot!! Legends!

The people that work here are sooo nice. They are the reason we kept extending from 5 days untill 2,5 weeks. The atmosphere is great, the staff, the surf instructors. It’s one of those places you’d want to come back to. It felt like home. And Reno and Hendy always try to make sure everyone is happy :)
