Alloggiare in questa struttura ti fa sentire come un re! Le camere hanno uno stile unico, quello di una vera e propria casa balinese di lusso. Abbiamo apprezzato la pulizia, la vicinanza al centro di Ubud pur mantenendo la tranquillità di un'oasi tra le risaie, e lo staff estremamente disponibile e pronto ad accoglierci nella propria casa. Consigliamo assolutamente questa esperienza "local" anziché la spersonalizzazione degli hotel di stampo moderno. Scoprire la cultura balinese essendovi immerso è un tesoro prezioso che porteremo sempre con noi!

I have no hesitation in recommending Bali Moon Guest House. In fact, we extended our stay. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the Main Street and attractions in Ubud but it is tucked away in a quiet, side street so you hear no traffic at all. The guesthouse is run by a gorgeous Balinese family who are happy to help you in any way they can. They really go out of their way to ensure your stay runs smoothly. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of them. Thank you Wayan, Made and staff. The buildings are decorated in traditional Balinese style with statues and beautiful gardens and we had a huge terrace to sit out on. The bed (although high to climb up to) emanates the royal beds of the past. It was massive and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and gave lots of options. The fruit salad every morning was amazing. In the short time we stayed, we felt we were with friends and were sad to leave.

This place is a traditional Balinese house, and for anyone who appreciates architecture and tradition, it’s truly a wonder. The layout is remarkable: separate towers, a temple, reception, and kitchen at the front, followed by the hosts’ building, with the rest of the compound unfolding in stunning Balinese style. We stayed in the back tower, which I believe is protected by Ganesha (because of the statues and details). The room was spacious, with a high bed framed by wooden pillars and Balinese textile art on the headboard. Describing every detail is almost impossible. Our hosts, Wayan Sasi, her husband, and their son Wayan Rey, along with the staff, were amazing- friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We were fortunate to have Rey as our tour guide for a full day and to use his transportation service in a very clean, comfortable SUV. He is knowledgeable about Hinduism and Balinese culture, and he shares generously, while also respecting quiet moments if you prefer to rest.

As with much of Ubud, there’s a certain organised chaos: some items are stored in areas visible to guests. Nevertheless, this didn’t take away from our experience; it’s simply part of the local character and culture.
