The positive thing about the room was that it felt clean; it had been freshly cleaned before I got the room. The bed was comfortable. There was no musty, stuffy smell. The fan worked without any squeaking. Another positive thing was that the hotel had a cosy outdoor area with palm trees and a terrace with laundry facilities if you wanted to wash your clothes yourself and hang them up to dry. The staff were very helpful if you needed anything. They showed me where I could get hot water in the morning from a tap outside the room. They also arranged a taxi for me at a reasonable price.

The negative aspect of the room was that it was very run down; both the room and the furniture needed refreshing. And there were no hooks for the mosquito net, which, incidentally, needed to be repaired or replaced. But I came up with my own hanging solution, so I didn't bother asking for hooks.
