"Great place to stay in Mahabalipuram"

The location is perfect right next to the fishermen’s beach, super nice guesthouse, in a calm yet central area of this cute town. Very good value for money, we spent a week here and we would come again!

The host is very helpful that he allowed me to store the baggage and use the rest room when I early arrived, and he provided me the room a few hours before formal check-in time. I really appreciate his treat, especially when I just finished a long fight at the mid-night. Enough space. Clean floor. Near beach. No A/C but providing a ceiling fan with good ventilation, that is enough at night.

A bit away from the main street, and people may take time to search the route. Blanket and tower with some yellow stains but no smell. I guess they were not washed thoroughly. Got awaken in the morning due to nearby construction noise.

The Squirrel Nest Guest is located in the fisherman's colony .. the approach road is narrow and parking is by the road near the guest house ... there appear to be similar guest houses on the same road .. even though parking is by the road, there are no problems with traffic as this is sort of a private road used by these guest houses .. also this road ends on the beach .. Madhavan and his family own and manage the guest house and are warm and friendly folks .. the rooms are spacious, clean and neat with air-conditioning in all the three rooms we used .. there are no food arrangements at the guest house but a short walk would get you to many eateries nearby .. the family also live in the same premises and are ever ready to assist guests in any of their needs .. The guest house nestles by the sea side at less than 50 meters from the beach ... all other visiting areas of Mahabalipuram can be accessed by foot or by car ...

no dislikes to record .... all was good ...

Fabulous location, right next to the beach The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

It would have been even better if we had the option of ordering food, especially breakfast.
