The shape of the villas was the deciding factor when we booked The paths and garden looked well maintained.

Was very disappointed with this hotel, especially given the other reviews. The reception area looked ramshackle and rundown with no facilities. The Bob Marley & surf memorabilia stuck haphazardly on a wall did not add anything. The whole site was smaller that I thought from the photos and the pagoda in the garden was neglected with just two very weathered cushions thrown on bare weathered wood.. The dealbreaker for me was the state of the bathroom - it didn't look clean, there were brown marks on the bidet hose and when I unwrapped the toiletpaper wrapper there were items in it that looked to me like cockroach eggs in it. We left immediately. The man at reception asked why we were leaving but didn't react when I said the place wasn't clean.

The staff here are fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The pool was lovely and a great place to relax. For a small additional cost, the team prepared daily breakfasts for our group, which were delicious and even included fresh watermelon juice. Just note there are no cooking facilities on-site, so it’s best to plan ahead.

The location wasn’t ideal for me—you really need scooters to get around. The rooms felt quite damp (likely due to the rainy season), with a leaking roof and bedding that always seemed slightly wet. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, likely from a leaking toilet, and the outdoor air-conditioning units were quite noisy. Overall, the place could benefit from some refurbishment.

Nice place if you’re into experience more authentic Balinese facilities. Keep in mind that you’ll never be alone in the room 😂 bugs, flies, mosquitoes and geckos, but hey, we are inhibiting their territory. The staff is very welcoming ☺️
