Ubud Terrace

The bed was comfortable and the decor of the bed was nice. The surrounding gardens were beautiful. The accommodation was close in the city centre and quiet given how close it is to the main road. The staff were fine but we didnt interact with them that much. We appreciated the staff member who helped keep the cheeky monkeys at bay for us! We didnt use the pool but it looked clean and inviting enough. There was a small restaurant across from reception where we had breakfast on one day and some juices on another day. Reasonably priced for basic items with no complaints. Theres also a cute kitty hanging around the lobby area if youre lucky enough to meet it.

We were not a fan of the monkeys. They were entertaining to watch (with the doors closed) but did try to steal our shopping as we walked to our room haha. At least you get to save money on going to the monkey forest as families of monkeys sometimes hang outside the room and in the gardens. Note that This is not the fault of the hotel and cant be helped given its location. The height of the bed and bathroom were not designed for short people in mind. Im 5'6" and I had to literally climb into bed and hop off because my feet would be dangling half a foot off the ground when sitting on the edge. The bathroom was horrendously designed. You would need to stand on the ledge to sit on the toilet and reach awkwardly behind you for the toilet paper. The open shower was right in front of the toilet. Unless you're 9 feet tall, you couldnt adjust the shower head. The lighting was also very dim due to a blown light bulb that wasnt replaced. The wifi signal constantly dropped out. No phone or TV in the room. Curtains had to kept closed at all times to keep privacy as our windows were in full view of the walking path. The building across from us had their lights on all night from their window. The curtains in our room didnt cover all the windows, so sleeping in darkness was impossible. The room was located at the bottom of a few flights of steps. If youre not a fit or able-bodied person with lots of luggage, this could be a problem.

Love the resort and the people. Will come back. Cleanliness need to be improved. Ants in my room
