Saman Beach Guest House

Exceptional throughout, top class service, great location, amazing breakfast and a super host. Could not have asked for more.

Nothing to dislike.

The property was on an isolated beach. It was black sand beach and pretty much we were the only ones there at the time we visited. We had booked the sea view room and didn’t realise it didn’t have AC so we spoke to them after going there and upgraded to AC room. The room was decent and the bathroom was neat. The staff were friendly.

The only thing would be since it’s on the beach there are dogs on the property most of the time. But there’s nothing they can do about it.

Location is superb , sleeping listening the sound of the waves has no comparison. Saman makes you feel like you are his family, always happy to help and providing a bottle of cold water which is really helpful to fight against srinlankan weather :) . I stayed 3 nights and 3 different breakfasts ..really filling and Sri Lankan style. Thanks for everything Saman and your wife to make feel so good

Beautiful Guesthouse right at the beach. The beach is clean and quiet. Saman is a great host, and we will definitely come back

Train Boossa then Tuk Tuk to guest house worked well. Right on the beach with a lovely sea breeze and sunsets from local bar. Lovely family run property. Saman was friendly and extremely helpful and we did a tour with him which we enjoyed a lot.

Would be good to have a squeegee in the bathroom just for the floor to remove excess water but not a major issue.

Clean and cozy place directly at the beach with very friendly hosts. Our room didn't contain A/C but the fan was accurate for good sleep. Free sunbeds and hammocks available outside for the guests. Recommended !

The first place we stayed during our trip so it was a good place to recover from jet lag as we didn't plan to do much. The accommodation was right on the beach & was lovely to just step right out onto the sand. The south coast has some strong waves so just be careful when going for a dip! Nice backpacker hostel along the beach that served drinks with a sunset view. Had a few places to eat & fairly priced too.

Nothing to complain about. The breakfast was quite heavy with fried food but we asked for some fruit & coffee which was great.

The view from the room was nice and it was clean, bathroom is new. Breakfast was very tasty.

Room is very very small, no space to move around. No A/C

Beautiful stay right in the middle of a big, quiet and lovely beach. Saman it’s an amazing host, super helpful and caring. The breakfast alone it’s worth the price of the stay.

Amazing stay! Saman is so kind and welcoming. The room is amazing, with the door opening straight out onto a beautiful beach with not that many tourists. There is a great bar (Reggae bar) just a 10 minute walk along the beach. The room is big, clean and had everything we needed. Incredible breakfast also which kept us going all day! Thank you Saman.
