Location

Bathroom door had gaps on both sides so no privacy. Entry to the property was a steep slope, dangerous. No toiletries of any kind. Nobody at the reception desk for any help for most of the time.

The staff were amazing, helped us set bike rentals up for a cheap price! We stayed 10 days! The location was amazing to get to food and shops. The room was super comfy and the pool was always cold! The staff were always around if we needed help with anything! The breakfast was yummy too!

The room was nice and clean. Santai Retreat was really close to the center of Kuta, we could walk there in a couple of minutes, and close to all the amenities you may need. Breakfast was really good. It was definitely a good quality price ratio.

We stayed only one night (instead of 4 nights booked last minute). We decided to shorten our stay because we were not expecting to be in the center of Kuta (our fault probably for not looking enough at the map). The area had a lot of construction going on so it was pretty noisy late at night and early in the morning. We didn't like Kuta, too noisy and busy for us. We told them the same day as we arrived and we were actually able to cancel our stay via Booking so they could rent the room again. Despite that, we were asked to pay the 4 nights, we said no. We agreed to pay the one night a bit more than it really was. They didn't try to understand and they got mad at us, it is the first and only time it happened to us. We were very honest and tried our best to explain. We were sorry for the inconvenience but cancellation is also a possibility.

I had a broken shower hose - reported it to the staff (they are always around) and it got fixed in less than 10 minutes. Things can always Happen it is about how to handle them. 10/10
