Douskos Guesthouse

The location of the property was perfect for Hedra and a perfect location for us to visit a parts of the island. The room was beautifully decorated very stylish, clean comfortable the staff are very friendly.

Douskos Guesthouse is an absolute gem on Ydra. Angeliki's warm welcome and expert recommendations for local spots, especially for YiaYia's coffee and Kalourias, made my trip unforgettable. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and offered a spectacular view of the city. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful room,very clean and right next to the port! Most beaches are within walking distance and there are so many cute taverns close!

This was an anniversary trip and it was lovely to be up-graded to a room with a view (like the movie!). Visiting during off-season meant that our location was quiet and still close to the harbor. Breakfast was not included, but the ground floor reception is next door to a small market and tavernas with excellent coffee and bakeries with the best fresh goods are close by. We enjoyed hiking to Prophet Elias Monestary and walking several beaches. We had Kamini beach all to ourselves and made two visits there and swam.

Operating the remote for heat was a bit tricky. The sleeping loft was cozy when the lower level was quite a bit cooler.

It’s run by a property manager and staff are not stationed there so it’s very inconvenient, I kept asking if there is breakfast included but no response
