Pondok Mundeh Ubud

It was very spacious, clean and the location was very good. The owners were very friendly and made sure our stay was perfect. You get good value for money.

Air condition is little weak, and water is very very slightly yellow tinged

The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, the location is perfect at 5 minutes from the main road in Ubud, the bed is comfortable and the room is spacious, the coffee given in the morning is a plus

Maybe the bathroom is a bit outdated but overall it’s perfectly functioning

I like the little alcove with the greenery and the tea in the morning

The place is very spacious, plenty of room for luggage and to move around. The hosts offered us tea and coffee every morning. The position is good, near ubud center but in an alley, so it's very quiet.

the bathroom and bedroom could have been cleaner. There was a constant smell of durian, and sometimes smoke.

I loved my time at Pondok Mundeh. I was there for three weeks and couldn't be happier with my choice of stay, especially for the price. - The owners were truly wonderful- so kind and patient and thoughtful. - The location is fantastic because you're a short walk from the main street, with countless warungs and cafes along the way. - There's a bike rental place right opposite with great prices - The rooms are very clean - There's an adorable frog statue in the entry way - It's very private, and my room had a little balcony which was lovely - It's very quiet - Coffee is provided in the mornings - Laundry services nearby

I loved my stay, but here are a few ideas to improve the rooms: - A mini fridge for guests to store drinks or snacks. - Fix the outlets/plugs. Some of them were broken, and some of them I couldn't use because my UK adapter wouldn't fit in the holes due to them being set so far back in the wall. Bring EU plugs if you can. - The light switches for the room were on the other side of the room - Improve the WiFi as it was patchy at times - Larger shelf in the shower

✅ The family who run this homestay are so kind, welcoming and eager to please ✅ It is quiet and relaxing, not for somebody who is looking to socialise. ✅ It is in the perfect location, in my opinion. About a 7-8 minute walk to the centre of Ubud. So many restaurants and coworking spaces within an easy walking distance. I recommend Clear Cafe- absolutely beautiful. ✅ They provide tea and coffee every morning for you, if you want it ✅ The clean the room upon request every 2/3 days, which was perfect for my 3 week stay ✅ Comfy beds with thick fluffy pillows ✅ A desk to work on ✅ A pretty view of Ubud rooftops from the upstairs rooms ✅ A very cute garden to walk through when first entering (complete with cute frog statue)

❌ The street that Pondok Mundeh is down has no lights at night, but neither do most of the roads off the main street in Ubud. It is very safe, even as a solo female. ❌ It is not accessible to those with mobility issues ❌ The wifi struggled with FaceTime sometimes, but was good enough the entire time I was there ❌ The first room I was in was a little damp as the toilet door was broken and therefore couldn't shut when I showered. The family were so accommodating that they moved me upon request though ☺️

I recommend to stay here if you are looking for quiet place and close to city center. Extremly friendly and helpfull owners.
