Acrotel Sofia's Guest House

We are so happy to have selected Sophia's Guest house for our stay, and trusting the reviews and images of this property. My partner and I stayed for a few days in July 2024, and had the most warm, friendly, welcoming stay in a while whilst travelling in Greece. Sophia and Thanassis keep a very-well run guest house, with their hospitality being the best asset to their already beautiful property. Their welcome is of that of a long-time seen friend or relative, nothing is much trouble if they can help it. Sophias' cooking is delicious, as everything is made of their own produce and lots of love. Breakfast and meals are available upon request, and I recommend you go for it - fresh ingredients, great cooking, lovely pitas or other dishes prepared from Sophia is a must served in their main living area. All rooms are tasteful, good size depending of size of party, with new bathrooms and nicely designed showers - absolutely spotless in cleanliness, and towels can be replaced daily. Sideras is rich in its own history as a community, and a great spot for short trips to the area and close access to Egnatia Road too. A lovely space to rest, relax and eat well. Enjoy!

Sofia and Thanassis are the epitome of Greek hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, to be welcomed with open arms into the home of the most generous hosts, as though a long lost relative, then you must visit Sofia’s Guest House.

Acrotel Sofia's guesthouse was an amazing find! The rooms are of good size, very clean, with very comfortable beds and pillows, and nicely decorated. It's very easy to park just outside, next to the chicken coop (don't worry, you can't hear them as they don't make any noise). The hotel is set in a small village, from where you can do multiple day trips or just sit outside and relax in the beautiful garden. By far, the best asset are the hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, providing the most amazing breakfast. This includes (amongst others) best-tomatoes-ever, cucumbers and other vegetables from their garden, freshly laid eggs from their chickens, amazing homemade spinach /cheese pie. Sofia and Thanasis were very kind, gave us recommendations, told us about the history of the village, and we loved chatting with them while having breakfast. We would give them 20/10, but booking.com only accepts 10/10.

The hosts were wonderful! An lovely guesthouse In a picturesque village. The owners were great and took good care of us, nice and rich breakfast. The bedrooms were clean and spacious.

Fantastic stay. Room definitely exceeded our expectations! Looks like very posh hotel room. Amazing terrace with swing for a rest. Hosts also showed us goats,sheep,chicken and kittens,so our little one absolutely loved it, we were very pleased. We can definitely recommend staying at this place!

This was such a special stay – we where completely blown away by the kindness of our hosts. We arrived around 7 in the evening and even though we hadn’t arranged anything in advance, Sofia offered to cook us dinner. We happily accepted and it was delicious! The beds where super comfortable and the rooms where clean.

Great hospitality, lovely countryside accommodation, spacious room, comfortable beds. It was very kind from the host to offer us home made dinner with most of the ingredients from their garden. Thank you -- it was delicious!

Everything was great. Just be aware that the property is located in a small village and at the time of our visit there was no open restaurant or shop nearby.
