INCREDIBLE, is a little bit hard to get there, but the place is amazing, from our room we could see a beautiful waterfall and below there was the famous train of Ella. Amazing breakfast and from the property you can also go to the city walking on the route of the train.

Our room was absolutely charming, with a breathtaking view that made our stay truly special. The host was incredibly caring and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and served with a lovely view overlooking a waterfall and the passing train, such a peaceful and unique setting. The walk to the center of Ella takes about 20 minutes along the railway, and it’s a beautiful and memorable stroll through nature. Highly recommended for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

The only downside was a slight leak in the shower and a bit of a humidity smell in the room, but it didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. With a few small improvements, this place would be close to perfect.

Gita and her brother are so kind, and helpful. I was surprised how well decorated the place was. In the morning the place has an amazing view and Gita is more than generous with the breakfast. Idk how you can honestly beat this stay for the price.

The location was more secluded than we thought, please be aware that a car can’t go there and once you land here - it’ll be a trek to go back down. We wished that we brought dinner with us. Also, I wish Gita provided a box of tissues and water in the room. It’d also be good to offer a menu in the room with few snacks/soft drinks for sale. Since the place is so high up - I’m sure guests would appreciate that convenience + it’s extra revenue

This is the most enjoyable stop we had in our trip. The view of Ella waterfall from terrace, tasteful room in the middle of the nature, away from the busy main street. Great breakfast. Helpful staff but privacy is still guaranteed.

A bit far from centre, but it is just some minute ride with a tuktuk and 10min walk if you walk along the railway. it is a trade off that definitely worth it.

I'm our opinion, the ONLY place to stay in Ella (we stayed in 2, visited 4). Fantastic views of mountains and train. Breakfast was delicious and host very kind. 10-15 minute walk into Ella central, we quite enjoyed it after an evening in town!

Brilliant location. Best view in ella.....we have been all over the world and this was one of the best views to wake up to in the morning. Lovely breakfast and great staff. Place is a little out of town but you walk along the well trodden railway path to town in 15 to 20 mins

Stunning views of the valley and so peaceful. Nice warm shower 😊 breakfast was fantastic!

We had a beautiful room with an amazing view, and breakfast on the terrace was simply a dream! The hosts were incredibly kind, making our stay even more special.

We loved our stay at Mount Shadows, a stylish property in a beautiful location. It's a shame it was raining the whole time we were here, but we could still appreciate the amazing views and only imagine how beautiful the sunrise must be! We had a delicious breakfast here, would definitely recommend for others to stay here.
