Old Dutch House

The location is fantastic. And the value for money was good. Due to our visit during the monsoon we were happy we booked a room with an aircon.

Cost and quiet. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Very friendly hosts.

Could use a little renovation

Local-owned homestay-style hotel. Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. Good location in center of fort and 5-10min walk to everything; 15 from bus/train station. Good water pressure in shower. Kingsley and wife Ashoka's hospitality is unmatched. He offered great advice on transportation, attractions, best place to view sunrise/sunset and when I inquired about cooking class, he and his wife invited me to make Thosai and coconut sambal in their kitchen. Very lovely experience. I'd return just to support them. They offered me tea/, coffee in the morning and are just wonderful people. Aircon strong and kept room cool. Mattress is firm.

A later official check out time would be nice, but they seemed flexible when possible. Otherwise i was happy.

Bien situado. Dentro de la fortaleza. Un buen desayuno. El señor y su familia muy amables.

Se supone que mi reserva era con aire acondicionado, pero al llegar me dijo que si lo quería tenía que pagar un extra. El lavabo debería hacer algún cambio, muy antiguo, el espejo muy pequeño y muy gastado.

Posizione perfetta nel centro storico di Galle, a sei minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei pullman e treni. Doccia con acqua calda e possibilità di avere un'abbondante e ottima colazione, pagando un piccolo extra.
