"Casas Novas Guesthouse"

We had an excellent stay at Casas Novas and I am so glad that I chose to stay here out of all the available places! The property is very nicely decorated, particularly on the outside; we enjoyed the little kitchen with a fridge, the balcony and the pool. The location is just perfect, 10-15min walk to the central areas, walkable distance to the nearest beaches and beautiful coastal areas. We had good night's sleep and there was no noise at all even though other rooms were also occupied. Plenty of free parking on the streets nearby. Large supermarket just 5min walk away. Many thanks to the host Ana, and particular thanks for restaurant recommendations which we gladly tried out!

Che dire? Posto ideale per stare a Lagos, tutto perfetto, particolarmente gradita l'accoglienza di persona. Torneremo!

Our room was lovely, nothing crazy over the top but a comfy bed and clean bathroom. We had a lovely little patio as well. It felt private and ‘hotel’ like. Ana, was so lovely and accomodating to us when we arrived late and gave us a great list of recommendations. I would stay here again!

A/C fungerte ikke helt optimalt, men var heldigvis kjølig på nettene. Var ikke et problem for oss

Schön eingerichtetes, kleines Zimmer mit Bad und Balkon. In Stadt und Strandnähe. Jeweils ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir wurden von Ana sehr freundlich empfangen und über Restaurants und Unternehmungen informiert. Hinten im Garten ist ein Pool, den wir aber nicht nutzten. Parken konnte man kostenlos in der Nähe.

The terrace and the grounds were nice

I had saved for over a year to visit Lagos and this was a huge disappointment for me. I was celebrating my 65th Birthday and this place looked amazing from the photos and the reviews and was so looking forward to relaxing and also exploring Lagos. The room itself was ok, very small TV and everything in Portuguese language and a lack of tea and coffee in the morning which should have been complimentary. Even to make a piece of toast they wanted to charge to rent the toaster. The worst part was I could not even take a proper shower and wash my hair because the water was not draining properly and flooded the bathroom and into the hallway. The problem was addressed to the owner of the guest house and the excuse was because of the drainage due to the construction of a new apartment building across the street and it was affecting houses in the area and of course the guest house itself. So very disappointed with the owners who were aware of the situation. Not compensation for all the problems that I encountered during my stay. Cost me a lot of money to stay here and it ruined my Birthday and my vacation. Partial refund would have been nice.
