It was in a very good location for the bus and the cafe opposite was excellent. The lady of the house was absolutely lovely. Great if you like potato based foods.

The door gets locked at 11 as I found out when I got back at 1130. Restaurants and bars are open way later, but I guess it’s to avoid disturbing others. I had to ring the bell (it says they will not answer and you have to stay out until they open the next day). Thankfully the man answered, but was very grumpy and pointed at the sign on the back of the door and stropped off. I could not have my bags with me so I had to rummage through them at the entrance / main stairwell whenever I needed to get something. There is a charge for storing your bags if you arrive early. The bed consisted of a thin hard mattress on the floor which was not comfy but did ensure I got out early 🤣 The bath can only be used between certain hours and not in the morning. Rooms were up to 3 in a room.

Très bien placé, petite maison agréable et bons repas sur place. Propriétaires très sympa. A deux pas du terminal de bus. Idéal pour faire le tour de Shiretoko Goko.

備え付けのインスタントコーヒー、紅茶が古そうで清潔さがない。寝具類も良くない。トイレの下がビチョビチョで汚ない。

the most value solo backpacker shelter located at walking distance from the bus stop. near to small town centre. easy to move around.

As in Japan, the land is very precious. the room might located at second or third floor. You have to arrange your day pack properly if you have big baggage that decided to put at ground floor. The check out time is early and extended baggage storage incurred cost. :(

It was my first time staying in a dormitory type room. The futons are so comfortable I fell asleep in an instant. Location is good because it is very close to the bus station. You can also order food from the cafe to eat upstairs in the living room.
