"Disappointing."

2.0

Breakfast was very good.

I was put in the St Andrews room which is a room off the main staircase in the attic and is suitable for a small child. I have stayed at the hotel before and had no complaints however when I booked this time, again through booking.com, I selected a twin room. Unfortunately I didn't notice that on the confirmation this had changed to a budget single. The access to the room is awkward and not the safest. The bed, which is suitable for a small child, is built into the wall and the two pillows were hard and flat as pancakes. When I found sleep impossible I got up in the middle of the night to add my folded bath towel to the pillows so did eventually get a sleep for a few hours. As I was up in the attic space it was also very noisy when other guests were chatting and moving around. Very disappointing. I would recommend that the owner tries to sleep in that room for a night with those pillows and sees how he gets on.

"Lovely hotel with beautiful views"

10.0

We had a lovely stay at the Invernairn! The location is beautiful! We would have liked another day to explore. There is a lovely walk down to the beach which we didn’t have a chance to do and the grounds are really pretty. The view from the hotel and our room was incredible! We would choose a different room next time, Completely my error on room choice. We chose the Penthouse room because I was drawn in by the panoramic views. There were panoramic views, no question. But, it was just two of us and silly to have so much space. It would be great with a large family, The penthouse does have more of an attic feel than penthouse but, nonetheless, with a large group it would be great. As you might imagine being a penthouse there are alot of stairs to climb to get to it - pack lightly! We would definitely stay again in a different room. I think many probably have fantastic views.
